Slumpy Johnson - Ghost Town (Produced by Tec Nyne aka Tray Poundz of Ghost City Ent.) (NYC)

The incredible Slumpy Johnson (Hood Music Group CEO) amazed half of the Soundclick.com community when this track apeared from nowhere. It started off as a 'Beat-diss' from a NYC local name Tec Nyne aka Tray Poundz who now represents Ghost City Entertainment as is the current CEO of the G.C.E Headquarters in NYC. Tec Nyne wasn't really known for bringing fire-instrumentals to the table, but this instrumental caught nearly everyones' ears. With the epic kicks, epic strings and the crystal clear elements/sounds of this piece. The downside to this project was that many people where saying that it was abit too short:

I wanted this to be longer... but there are those rare occasions when it just is what it is.... Good gutter street sound.... mix is a bit to the back but still holds it own. I wasnt a huge fan of the beat but it's more of a personal taste issue and not a skills thing.... Slump keeps banging. - Snake Hollywood (Area 51 Ent.)

So a Ghost City Ent./Hood Music Group Collaboration became sucessful? Of course. Now it's time for my 2 Cents:

I greatly adore the instrumental not because its hard hitting (even though it is) but i just like how the whole beat was composed/sampled. As the strings ain't too choppy, kick was hard; but i wasn't really feeling the snare as the sound was 2 short. Lyrically it was great too! Good work by Slumpy Johnson on that as he isn't rapping about 'nothing' its making sence. And the mixdown by Corey Drumz (Iron Kladd Entetainment) was perfect and crisp. This has to me one of my most favriote tracks of 2006.
